SWING ARM Suspension technology

With Physique`s patented SWING ARM TECHNOLOGY the walking deck is suspended from two pivoting arms connected directly to the upright frame. This unique construction technique was developed to cushion the entire running deck frame. The entire running dek and frame unit is suspended on 2 swing arm pivots allowing for increased cushioning of the running surface when compared to traditional cusion under deck construction. This results in a better cushioned running surface with less shock transferred to the runner, motor and electronics.


University lab tested....

In recent university lab tests, Physique`s SWING ARM shock absorption system was measured against traditional (cushion between deck and frame ) deck construction used by other manufactures to demonstrate its true benefits. Measurements were taken from various sensors placed on the user and treadmill to analyze the impact forces produced during excercise. Additional measurements were used to analyze the effects of SWING ARM  technology on muscle constraction during exercise. The results showed a marked increasa in the amount of force absorbed by the treadmill during exercise as well as reduced levels of muscle stress when compared to traditional deck construction.


 INCREASED IMPACT ABSORPTION:

 SWING ARM™ suspension eliminates the double spike  impact.
 With TRADITIONAL Construction: Two stage  impact  consisting of one short duration, medium  intensity  spike  followed by longer duration,  higher intensity  spike.

 With SWING ARM ConstructionSingle stage impact  consisting of one slightly longer duration,  lower intensity spike/ Lower overall peak force.
 Conclusion: Results demonstrate an elimination  of the  double spike impact & an increased level of impact   absorption with a SWING ARM™  cushione deck versus  a traditionally cushioned  deck.


 PREFERABLE MUSCLE WORKOUT PERFORMANCE:

 SWING ARM™  Suspension provides a 14-23%  increase  in calories burned.
 With TRADITIONAL Construction: Higher peak intensity   but shorter duration muscle contraction

 With SWING ARM Construction: Lower peak intensity  but longer duration muscle contraction.
 Conclusion: Results demonstrate a lower peak  but  longer duration with a SWING ARM cushioned deck  versus a  traditionally cushioned deck long duration,  low intensity  exercise is preferable for fat burning  routines. This translates into 14-23% more calories  burned over the course of a workout.
